Recommended Reading: Junot Diaz--Both Sides, Now

We saw in "Drown" a complicated issue of sexual encounter, and in the case of its author, we find the same. Last year, Junot Diaz told a story of his childhood rape by "a grownup I trusted." You can read this about it here (click picture to link to article):

The story gets more complicated because shortly afterward, he faced even more attention due to accusations of sexual assault and misogyny in the height of the #MeToo movement. He was eventually cleared of misconduct charges, but the decisions remain controversial. You can read about it here:
